Complaining Gets You Nowhere!
(Exodus 5:1-22 & 14, 15, 16, 17, 32; Numbers 12-16)
14 Different Complaints:
“Complaining will actually get you somewhere,
but not where you’re hoping to go!”
1. Moses made things worse for us.
2. Leave us alone. We are better off the way we are.
3. The water is bitter we should return to Egypt .
4. We have no food and we are hungry.
5. We are thirsty and have no water.
6. The people are impatient and worship a golden calf.
7. We have no meat to eat. We had plenty back there.
8. Miriam and Aaron complain about Moses’ leadership.
9. The giants in the land are too big, we are like bugs, it’s too hard.
10. They want to kill Moses and go back to Egypt.
11. The leaders rebel because they don’t like Moses.
12. The accuse Moses of killing God’s people.
13. Again, the people complain about having no water!
14. The people complain against Yahweh and Moses!
