Marriage matters? Yes, and marriage matters! Over the last few decades, those matters, or what we might say are the key ingredients that marriage is composed of, and what makes marriage complete in the way God designed it, have been spoiled. Maybe they have even approached being completely decimated.
It is the Christian community who must defend this institution! No, not defend it with shouting and screaming in the face of a deaf culture, however necessary that might seem to be at certain times. Instead, we must defend it NOW by how we handle marriage matters.
Since marriage was part of God’s created order, we have the instruction manual, with step-by-step directions on how to enjoy and to fully reap the rewards of a Holy Spirit led marriage. Does this sound too ethereal to you? If so, you’ve started off with the wrong mindset. The Bible reminds us that God is the head of man and that man is the head of the woman; put on that mind and now you are on the correct playing field. We need to straighten out these marriage matters because “Marriage Matters!” And as the Church, we have a huge problem on our hands if we cannot reverse the current trend.
So, whether you are married, not married, or never want to be married, these marriage matters should matter to you just the same. “Why?” you might be thinking. Because, as a Christian, no matter in which category you fall, one day you might have to speak to someone who desires to be married, and just because you are not looking to walk down that isle yourself, it doesn’t mean you should not be fully cognizant of “Marriage Matters.” Why? Because as has been said over and over, “Marriage Matters!”
