Cease resistance; abandon control of your life entirely, and come into complete submission to God. That’s what it means to surrender. When Y’shua returns, some of you will be like Him. And for that transformation to occur, it requires that you surrender your limitations and practice humility.
Pray this without ceasing: “Yahweh, I surrender my limiting beliefs. I know it is natural to believe that in the midst of unimaginable trials I have endured enough already and that I’ve reached my limits. But with You, Lord, there are no restrictions on what You will do, what it might take, or what You will allow in order to finish Your work in me! Anything necessary is possible or permissible when You are in control—and You are always in control.
Now, all that remains is for me to come into agreement that anything is possible with You, God; there are no limitations on either what You will allow to occur for me to grow into a fully developed Christian, nor what I can accomplish for God and through God, because of what You have allowed! Today, I practice humility. I come into agreement with God and humbly submit to whatever it takes for You to finish Your work in me. I acknowledge that humility, as does pride, has two faces: one side stands in the light as authentic submission, believing all that God says about me and all that God has for me. The other lurks in the shadows in stark contrast, as false humility; it is more concerned about appearances —pretense over authenticity—and just below the facade is the ugly darkness of pride, which again in itself has two faces: one that says, “I can do all things on my own,” as did Satan, and the other that says “I am not everything God says I am nor can I do all things God says I can do!” Pure humility, instead, speaks this way: “Lord, here am I, send me!””
Whoever won’t surrender their limiting beliefs and practice being humble, simply won’t become like Him.
