Y’shua in the Feasts of the Yahweh | “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.” (Genesis 1:14) It’s easy to miss. The cycles of the sun and the moon are given for seasons, for days and for years.
But what signs are we looking for? Y’shua rebuked the religious leaders of the day “…Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” (Matthew 16:3) What signs should we be discerning? “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night…We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.” (I Thessalonians 5:1-2, 4-6)
What signs should we be watching for? I believe that the cycle of Biblical Feast Days is exactly what Yahweh, Y’shua, and Paul is referring to. They are God’s prophetic calendar for mankind’s history. However, if you are not familiar with their prophetic significance, you won’t be able to tell what time it is.
A Detailed Journey with Y’shua through the Feasts of Yahweh
“And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.”… “These are the feasts of Yahweh, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.” Leviticus 23:1-2, 4 NKJV
“‘So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to Yahweh throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.” Exodus 12:14
“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the body of Christ” Colossians 2:16-17
“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Messiah, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” 1 Cor. 5:7-8

There is a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. “Then Moses said, “Thus says Yahweh: ‘About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt; and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the female servant who is behind the handmill, and all the firstborn of the animals. Then there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as was not like it before, nor shall be like it again. But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that Yahweh does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’” Exodus 11:4-7
Introduction to Passover
What is Passover?
• It’s symbolic of Bondage into Freedom
• It’s the picture of a Journey to a Destination
• It identifies and separates Firstborn Sons
• It indicates a transition from childhood to maturity (adulthood)
• It’s the END of one thing and the start of something new
I think the most IMPORTANT question we can all ask ourselves today is: “How did Jesus prepare for Passover?”

Do not love the world or the things of the world, John the disciple warned. Are you guilty of committing the same crimes Y’shua accused the religious hypocrites of, in His day, “making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down?” I fear, if asked, like those religious hypocrites, too many Christians could offer no defense!
“How so?” you might be thinking. Look around, especially during the holiday seasons, and you will see the majority of Christians flocking to celebrate manmade holidays, steeped in pagan traditions. But when their children ask, “What do you mean by this service?” Or, “What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which the Lord our God has commanded you?” Or, “What do these stones mean to you?” They will have no biblical answer because they have been carried away in “making the word of God of no effect through their tradition which they have now handed down to their children.”
It’s sad that if Y’shua was walking the earth today, He’d be asking the same question of religious leaders that He did two thousand years ago. “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?” John warned us about loving the things of the world, “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life…” May we, as the Body of Christ, run from such things. And the next time your children ask, this is what you will answer; “It’s the Passover; we were slaves and now we are free; let your children tell their children, and their children the next generation. It is a memorial forever.”
Or, you can say, “Go find your painted eggs and chocolate Easter bunnies. Fill your baskets; this is now how we remember the death, burial and resurrection of our blessed Savior.” It’s sad we have fallen so far. I don’t know about you, “But as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh!”
Day 1: The Law of Adonai
“Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart – they do no wrong but follow his ways. You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.” Psalm 119:1-8 NIVUK
Shavuot (Feast of Weeks) | Why are so many of God’s children perfectly content to celebrate Hallmark holidays, and with complete dedication commemorate pagan man-made traditions, while completely ignoring the Biblical Festivals gifted to us by Yahweh? This week we will explore the relevance and magnificent imagery of Pentecost. It would seem that in 2020, while the world remains inundated with lies and wrapped in chaos, the Church has bowed to a lower authority. Have Church leaders been deceived because they are prophetically ignorant and untrained about the times and seasons? Join us for a deep dive into the Festival of Truth and Spirit.
Rosh Hashanah (The Feast of Trumpets) | Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.’” (Leviticus 23:23-25)
Yom Kippur, Shadow of Things to Come
“Once and for all means once and for all,” doesn’t it? If there is one Feast of Yahweh, more than any other, that Christians believe no longer has any relevance for them, it has to be Yom Kippur. “The blood of Christ has paid for our sins past, present, and future, so why do I need to pay attention to a holiday that foreshadowed the sacrifice needed to cover the sins of the world?”
It’s a worthy question and one worth exploring, especially in light of these difficult to explain scriptures written decades AFTER the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. “The Feasts of the Lord are shadows of things to come.” (Colossians 2:17); “Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come.” (Hebrews 9:11); and, “The Law, having a shadow of the good things to come.” (Hebrews 10:1). The Feasts, the High Priest, and the Law, all shadows of things yet to come, even decades after Christ. These are mysteries worth unlocking; secrets with discoveries relevant to every Christian serious about the future of their faith.
