Cease resistance; abandon control of your life entirely, and come into complete submission to God. That’s what it means surrender. When Y’shua returns, some of you will be like Him. And for that transformation to occur, it requires that you surrender your pride and practice meekness. Pray this without ceasing: “Father, remove any excessive high opinion I have of myself. If any of these character traits exist in me, expose and eradicate them: arrogance, vanity, hubris, self-conceit, self-glorification, self-adulation, self-admiration, haughtiness, snobbery, condescension, and pretentiousness. I reject pride as the ugly default defense mechanism against any feelings of envy and jealousy. I recognize that as a child of God I have complete access to Your power and the authority to use it, but I will demonstrate that power with absolute humility. Your power in me will always be tempered by Your will taking precedence over my desired outcome, my need to appear dominant, or to take credit.” Whoever won’t surrender their pride and master meekness simply won’t become like Him.
