What could be the benefit of understanding Gods word?
Using prayer and Holy Spirit to understand the Bible. Catholics from work believe it’s dangerous to read the word on their own, they trust the “educated” priest. You cannot be taught the Holy Spirit. Or buy it. They’re scared they will misinterpret it. Most Christians do not read their Bible out of sheer laziness, or a lack of will to. Some use it as a motivational self help book or poetry. Some read their bibles the most through verses in hallmark cards. Some don’t read their bibles at all because they don’t believe in it to be true. Lost in translation or everybody interprets it differently. What I’m presenting today is we use our POWER in the Holy Spirit to read the scriptures and TRUST we will understand the Lord. As KEM says “saved by grace through faith” what does that mean? It’s a gift given when you believe fully, usually after a personal encounter.
