“Now it came to pass when the king was dwelling in his house, and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies all around, that the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells inside tent curtains.” Then Nathan said to the king, “Go, do all that is in your heart, for the Lord is with you.” But it happened that night that the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying, “Go and tell My servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Would you build a house for Me to dwell in? For I have not dwelt in a house since the time that I brought the children of Israel up from Egypt, even to this day, but have moved about in a tent and in a tabernacle. Wherever I have moved about with all the children of Israel, have I ever spoken a word to anyone from the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people Israel, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’
Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel. And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth. Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously, since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the Lord tells you that He will make you a house. “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” ’ ”

According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David. Then King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: “Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? And yet this was a small thing in Your sight, O Lord God; and You have also spoken of Your servant’s house for a great while to come. Is this the manner of man, O Lord God? Now what more can David say to You? For You, Lord God, know Your servant. For Your word’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all these great things, to make Your servant know them. Therefore You are great, O Lord God. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears. And who is like Your people, like Israel, the one nation on the earth whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, to make for Himself a name—and to do for Yourself great and awesome deeds for Your land—before Your people whom You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt, the nations, and their gods? For You have made Your people Israel Your very own people forever; and You, Lord, have become their God.

“Now, O Lord God, the word which You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house, establish it forever and do as You have said. So let Your name be magnified forever, saying, ‘The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel.’ And let the house of Your servant David be established before You. For You, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed this to Your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore Your servant has found it in his heart to pray this prayer to You. “And now, O Lord God, You are God, and Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant. Now therefore, let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You, O Lord God, have spoken it, and with Your blessing let the house of Your servant be blessed forever.”” II Samuel‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬-‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

GO! Don’t wait, GO! Why hesitate? I’ve instructed you but yet you continue “seeking” what you want for yourself. Is it not simply I (Yahweh) that instructs and waits for your obedience. Someone had to DIE! That is how we know how bad sin is!
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.” Romans 6:1-10 NKJV

So before I get into my teaching I would like to share how I arrive to teaching about Ecclesiastes and searching through Ecclesiastes. It was actually during the Feast of Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles that we were having um some meal and some like potluck after service that Friday. Keegan walked up to me and he goes, “Do you know what you should be reading since it’s the Feast of Tabernacles?” I asked him, “Do you mean what Torah portion?” He said, “No. Do you know which book you should be reading?” He says, “Ecclesiastes.” I’m like, “What?” From my conclusion after studying so many months, I know I’ve pushed this teaching back a couple times because I wasn’t ready. As much as I think I’m ready, I don’t understand what I’m about to preach. Because there will not really be any Scripture that I have you guys read. You can ask questions at the end of it, but I don’t have any answers to any of your questions. So there’s not really a point, but I will say this: It was very profound that Keegan told me this because through studying what I learned, I elementarily knew this. But, what really became true to my heart after studying through Ecclesiastes, is how much our body is truly a tent or a sukkah, a tabernacle. When Paul tells us to put off your body, he’s really said put off your sukkah. That’s what he really said. When you take off all the things of your flesh and all the things of striving and all the labor of your life and you put that off the nucleus of human, your spirit that is the part that is in the image of Yahweh. Yes our bodies are in the likeness, but how many carnal and wickedly inspired evil things do human beings commit? But your spirit, the spirit of Elohim could not be corrupted. Especially for those of us who have received the Holy Spirit and those of us who do follow in faith in Covenant to Yeshua and his blood. All that to say, I’m going to get right in. If you do want to follow along, good luck, because we’re going to a lot of areas in this in the Bible today. I’ve learned from the best rabbi and I prayed and I studied for more hours than I ever have with any area of scripture, listening for Yahweh’s voice and what he wanted me to share today.

2022-01-07 | To Meek | Michael WursterIn today’s world If you were to ask any Christian, “What is an ambassador for Christ”? What types of answers do you think you would get? Some might give answers referencing the history of the Crusades or perhaps prominent figures in the Protestant Reformation. Make no mistake there are probably hundreds of correct answers to this question. Now ask yourself, do you meet that definition? Whatever it might be. Maybe for some, a better question might be “Do you desire to be, an ambassador for Christ?”

Christians should and need to have a deep burning, passionate desire to bring souls to the Lord. After-all, how could you not? Paul writes know then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. If you can put a check in the box that you are this type of Christian, there is an unfortunate and harsh reality we must understand to its fullest. The first side of the coin is the conversion (Heart Change) of an individual to a believer is a work entirely done by the Holy Spirit and not of yourself, The other side of the coin or perhaps the dark side, is once the human element creeps into our passion and our own selfish desires instead of waiting on the power of God in good faith, we have the ability to turn away the hearts of individuals as well. You don’t have look or think very hard to know what I’m talking about here. You see it in the church everywhere. From organized religious entity’s, down to the singular believer not walking the walk.

Particularly, in the way we conduct ourselves in society (look, think, speak, Act). Now make no mistake, God will always reach who he needs to reach but we need to understand that the way we conduct ourselves and communicate can be the difference between someone getting it slowly and progressively as you nurture their spirit in your word and actions, or someone ignoring the Spirit completely and proceeding in shutting them down for the next decade or even longer by their human element let’s say. With all this said there is many criteria for an ambassador for Christ, one of which is that is that you need to be usable. I say useable because it is critical that you always listen and obey the spirit and not to let your emotions get the better of you. The key point for this teaching is the term Meek but not as you have heard it before. In old English the term was used for training wild mustangs for battle. The goal here was not to tame them but to specifically harness nature hardened toughness that these animals have and used them as amazing military assets at the time. What made them effective you might ask? They would do whatever the master said with their same fearless nature that they demonstrated out in the wild. When you tie that into being an ambassador for Christ, I can summarize this in a single sentence credited to my Senior Drill Instructor from basic training. “You will conform, you will be disciplined, you will have instant, willingness and obedience to orders.”
