2022-11-19 | Above All | James 5:12“But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.” James 5:12 NKJV

We just learned about the dangers of making riches and wealth an idol. We are again reminded how God hates complaining. And then James reiterated the significance of patience and perseverance, even invoking the story of Job as an example, possibly the most patient man in history. But, then he exclaims…more than all these, your word is everything. Why?

Because… hypocrisy negates everything that comes before it!

2022-11-05 | Patience & Perseverance | James 5:5-11“Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.” James 5:7-11 NKJV

Riches and All Sorts of Evil
“Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.” James 5:1-6 NKJV

No Judgement or Proper Judgement?
“Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?” James 4:11-12 NKJV

2022-10-01 | W.A.R. (Warring Against Repentance) | James 4:1-10Friend of the World?
“Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”” James 4:1-6 NKJV

Energy & Dissipation | Wholistic Grace | 2022-08-27Mixing Science and the Bible
Medical Theology: What secular science attempts to describe, regarding human anatomy and physiology, cannot adequately account for what they observe. Scientific principles can never offer complete explanations or bring full understanding of the wonders of human creation, without including God’s hand!

Wholistic Gospel: Sanctifying Spirit, Soul and Body
Wholistic Grace: Energizing Spirit, Soul and Body

• 24 hours per day, 168 hours per week
• That is all you have; that’s what we all have!
• Each of us has to decide what we will do with our time.
• Each of us will decide what energy and resources will be available to us during that time.
• One perspective: we are all victims confined to this “jar of life.”
• The only way to maximize our lives is to fill the volume of that jar, every cubic millimeter (or inch) and leave no wasted space.
• How do you do that?
